Working en plein air and from memory, I use soft pastel blocks for its immediacy and subtlety, allowing me to layer delicate transitions while preserving the raw emotional gesture of each mark. 

This series of landscape works are as much about stillness as they are about movement. They reflect my ongoing inquiry into the dialogue between land and self - how a place can echo internal landscapes and invite quiet contemplation.
